At the Baltimore Homeschool Community Center, Monday isn’t a day to dread after the end of the weekend, it can be your favorite day of the week. Visit the Homeschool Center and start your day off with a fun and educational Taekwon-Do class, where you can learn self-defense while having fun and learning great moral values at the same time. Have a blast at the free Chess Club, an exiting club led by kids where you can eat lunch, learn tactics, and just have a fun time. Join the renowed Drama Club, where shy children gain confidence, born actors get their chance in the spotlight, and all kids learn great acting skills! Get the opportunity to learn a new language with the conversational Russian class, where you and your friends learn how to speak in Russian! And finally, learn science the fun way with Elementary Science! Don’t want to take a class? Just hang out with old friends or make great new friends- your homeschooling dreams can home true at the Baltimore Homeschool Community Center!

FEBRUARY 7th, 7:00 – 9:00 PM
We have a great opportunity to do something fun and unique in our community, and get the Baltimore Homeschool Community Center name and info out to a huge local audience! BHCC members and friends are invited to participate in Maryland Public TVs on-air campaign on Tuesday, February 7 from 7-9pm! We will be answering phones during an airing of “Obsessed With Everything Food,” a show featuring cooking demonstrations that use the state’s local resources, and includes a travel log. The locations help illustrate fun and interesting places to visit throughout the U.S. We need between 12-20 volunteers, and the evening includes training and dinner. Philosophy

BHCC’s Philosophy class is today at 2:00! Class members should read through the Middle Ages chapter in the book Sophie’s World. They should also watch The Name of the Rose. You can find some of it HERE on YouTube, but they also have a book version of it. The book is $3 on a Kindle and about $10 to buy in stores.

If you haven’t yet joined Philosophy yet, don’t miss out, this semester of classes have only just started! Class information is listed below:

Russian Class Starts Today

The BHCC Russian class starts up again today at 1:00 PM!

Tips for Class:

Russian Conversation
Давайте изучать русский язык!
In this class, students will learn conversational Russian and vocabulary on selected topics.  Grammar will not be taught at this level but  students will begin to understand and learn the grammar rules simply by using the language for conversation.  Students are expected to study and memorize the Russian alphabet and the vocabulary from each class.
Ages 10 & up
Free for members.  $100 for non-members
